Welcome message from the temple president
Welcome to the West Los Angeles Buddhist Temple Website. My name is Vance Nishimoto and I am currently serving as President here at the WLABT. As you navigate through this website, you will find many of the wonderful activities and services that are provided by the WLABT and see many of the people who make up our Jodo Shinshu Buddhist Sangha (community).
I hope that you find this website informative as you will find up-to-date information about the activities at the temple. If you want to know when our next Obon Festival will be held, just click on our calendar and you will see our Obon schedule as well as a link to other Obon festivals held by other temples. You will also see the schedule for all the major services held throughout the year.
You will find this website enlightening as you will find many Jodo Shinshu Buddhism messages from our resident minister Reverend Fumiaki Usuki. Want to know what Jodo Shinshu Buddhism is?
